Dong Thap province (Vietnam) is known as the “Land of the Lotus,” with several lotus lakes. Dong Thap lotus is not only used for adornment, but it is also made into hundreds of delectable foods ranging from soup to dry meals, savory cuisine to dessert, instant food to packaged things as tourist presents. At the 52nd Meeting of Vietnam Record Holders taking place on May 20, 2023, the Asia Book of Records (ABR) officially awarded Asia Record Certificate to 9 Vietnamese localities with famous cuisines and specialties setting records in the year 2022-2023.
