The experts listed the Group as the only European company in the top 10 in the overall ranking. As a result, Deutsche Telekom has moved up two positions compared to the previous year and now sits in a strong ninth place. Deutsche Telekom also becomes the most valuable telecommunications brand in the world for the first time, beating Verizon and AT&T to top spot.

Deutsche Telekom’s successful performance is based on its current brand value, the highest in the company’s history. According to the study, this came in at 73.3 billion U.S. dollars. Growth compared to the previous year (62.9 billion U.S. dollars) amounted to 17 percent. Brand value has increased by 84 percent since 2020. During this time, Deutsche Telekom has moved from fourth place to become the strongest telecommunications brand worldwide.

In the overall ranking, DT sits behind Apple, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Samsung, Walmart, TikTok, and Facebook. Verizon was in eleventh place globally, while AT&T dropped to 25th position.

China Mobile was the next highest ranked telecoms operator in 32nd place, followed by Japan’s NTT Group in 56th position, South Korea’s SK Group in 82nd place, and France’s Orange Group in 94th place. Vodafone comes in at 138th position, down from 118 in 2023, while Movistar (Telefónica) is ranked 290th and O2 is in 475th place.
