Jim Culhane, Cliff Davis, Scotty Gallan, Walt Green, Paul Hinen, Sky Huminsky, Woody McKay and Ted Williams made the record-breaking jump with the largest formation of jumpers over the age of 80.

The previous Jumpers Over Eighty Society record was a formation of six jumpers.

The jump was part of a three-day event sponsored by the Skydiving Hall of Fame Celebration at Skydive DeLand.

“Achieving our goal to break and set the new world record for the largest formation of jumpers over the age of 80 is a testament to the teamwork, experience and skill of the team members and support staff,” said Cliff Davis.

The sport of skydiving started over 60 years ago with people jumping out of airplanes over 14,000 feet above the ground.
