Beer Larue Brand, a division of Heineken Vietnam Brewery Limited Company, worked with residents of Da Nang and Quang Nam to collect and recycle 30,000 empty Larue beer cans in order to create a striking work of art as a way to thank the “brotherhood between Quang Nam and Da Nang” and to outline the vision of sustainable development for Vietnam in general and Vietnamese people in particular. The artwork is full of humanity and sends a message about the importance of environmentally sustainable development. The collection of used Larue beer cans lasted one month, and the display model was built in four weeks with the support of over 200 laborers and artisans.

The six-meter length and six-meter height of “The Wave Loves Life” were inspired by Da Nang and Quang Nam’s bright seascapes. A permanent iron frame is present inside the piece to ensure the security of those taking photographs, and the exterior is covered in 30,000 recycled Larue beer cans, giving the image of a “wave of love” that is both bright and realistic. This work has been a pioneer in giving unique, authentic, and vivid experiences to art enthusiasts and Larue beer brand lovers. Simultaneously, educate and inspire the next generation to learn about local culture and develop environmental consciousness in the community.
