Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023 took place from April 28 to May 5, 2023. The major site of the festival spans the banks of the Perfume River and several other areas in Hue City. Many special cultural programs and events took place at the festival, such as the Food Festival with the theme “The Quintessence of Noodles,” the Street Performance Festival, the Tribute Festival to the Perfume River – Lantern Boat Ride on the River, and so on.

The Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023 is a well-known event for Hue City and Thua Thien Hue Province to preserve and promote traditional craft values, develop tourism promotion and stimulation, and improve the status and image of the residents.

The essence of rice vermicelli craft was acknowledged in the Food Festival during the Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023 (held in Thuong Bac Park, Hue City, from April 29 to May 2). The festival combines Hue’s traditional food, with the main events being: performing the process of creating rice vermicelli; demonstrating vermicelli-based dishes, Hue cuisines, and pastries; and Hue Garden’s Culinary Area; North, Central, and South Cuisine; and so on.

Culinary Culture researcher Le Tan collaborated with organizers of the Quintessence Cuisine Festival of Noodles and Noodles, Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company, and Artisans – Experts – Chefs to establish a Vietnam Record for “the Event of processing and performing Hue-style stir-fried noodles with mixed flavors serving the most participants simultaneously,” highlighting the occasion and promoting the value of Hue cuisine through The Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023.

With the participation of 170 people, including 20 famous artisans from three regions of Vietnam, 30 professional chefs, and 100 staff serving guests, 1,025 dishes of mixed fried noodles from many ingredients such as pork, beef, shrimp, mushrooms, vegetables, local spices, and dried rice noodles are produced using technological processes.
