The tallest steel pipe flagpole in Indochina
Construction of the flagpole at the port began on June 30, 2020, with a height of 63 meters from base to top, representing 63 Vietnamese provinces and cities. The 54-square meters Vietnamese flag, which is a red flag with a yellow star, represents 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam. The foundation is designed to help the flagpole withstand a level 12 storm (equivalent to wind speeds of 118 to 133km/h).
The 63-meter flagpole project at Long An International Port is the gratitude of Dong Tam Group officers and employees to the generations of soldiers who sacrificed their lives to preserve Vietnam’s land and have remained here.
