The Vietnam Records Organization has formally proposed to the World Records Institute (WorldMark) and the USA Records Organization (USKings) beginning the Journey to nominate TOP 100 best-selling OCOP-certified items in Vietnam 2023 with the purpose of enhancing the image of the nation and the Vietnamese people not only through record values but also through other distinctive qualities. Due to this journey, foreign buyers will have comprehensive and close access to Vietnam’s distinctive values.

Chi Lang custard apple is well-known for its large size, thin peel, small seeds, thick flesh, and sweet flavor. The National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam issued the exclusive trademark “Chi Lang custard apple” on September 2020 for the custard apple fruit harvested in Chi Lang District, Lang Son province. Furthermore, Chi Lang custard apple was named one of the “Top 10 Golden Agricultural Products in Vietnam” for three consecutive years, from 2017 to 2019.

The Dong Banh Agricultural Production and Service Cooperative was established in 2001 with the goal of establishing and developing the “Chi Lang custard apple” brand in national and international markets. With the moral compass “The brand must never lose sight of quality,” the cooperative has invested in package design, sped the process, and established a modern preservation and transportation system.Currently, the cooperative’s custard apple area has received the VietGAP certificate.

The journey to nominate and promote the TOP-BEST best-selling OCOP-certified products in 63 provinces and cities of Vietnam is one of the projects implemented under the strategic alliance between the Vietnam Records Organization (VietKings), the USA Records Organization (USKings) and the World Records Institute (WorldMark), with the goal of propagating and promoting the record values of countries worldwide.
