“If you’ve ever attended an event at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCVA), you know it’s going to be a lot of walking there,” KLAS to speak.

Over the past few years, Elon Musk’s Boring Company has built a tunnel underneath Las Vegas – known as the “The Loop” tunnel to help transport passengers.

From the tunnel, the lighting system to the electric cars will be part of the traffic system below the convention center when in operation.

Steve Hill, CEO of LVCVA said: “Great day for us, great day for Las Vegas. We signed a contract with Boring Company to exploit this system.” Hill also said it took years to find a solution to transport passengers.

Construction will begin in 2019, just below the convention center’s dormitory. The tunnel is made by the Boring Company of Elon Musk and the Tesla car is used to carry passengers.

When passengers board a Tesla, they’ll be transported from one point of the dormitory to the other in about two minutes. “This system will have 62 cars, although maybe more, we will stop at this level,” Hill added.

If you walk from the two points, it will take half an hour, LVCVA said. They also estimated that 4,400 people would be able to use the system per hour in the event of a think association happening here.

The cost of this tunnel is about 52 million USD.

But Boring Company doesn’t stop here. There are plans to expand the tunnel system to resorts and even to airports. The tunnels could bring things to Vegas in a way that never happened anywhere else. The plan is to use Tesla self-driving cars in the near future.
