The “Map of Vietnam” is a special artwork in the “Vietnamese Soul” series with the message: Connection – Pride – Love. The work is divided into two parts: a map of Vietnam and a bronze drum, both about 1.8m x 2.8m in size and made from over 100,000 toothpicks by 2,000 to 10,000 people.

“The production of the Vietnam Map with Dong Son Bronze Drums is an opportunity for everyone to participate in a community project, to review the heroic history of their ancestors throughout the ages, the period of building and preserving the country.  With approximately 10,000 participants, it is an opportunity to bring the community together, regardless of religion, age, or gender, for a common goal: “Towards the homeland – the country of Vietnam.” Participating in this project, everyone’s effort is the same, each participant is important, bringing the same aesthetic” – Architect, World Record holder Hoang Tuan Long – Founder of BOARC shared.

He also hopes that the project will boost national pride and inspire people, particularly students, to learn about geography, culture, history, and art. At the same time, this artwork helps to promote Vietnam to the international community.

The completed work, in particular, will be auctioned off to benefit orphans through prestigious charity organizations in the country.
