The Khăn rằn (checkered scarf) has long been a cultural symbol of the people of the Mekong delta. From wartime to peacetime, it is always a companion in the locals’ daily lives.

On behalf of VietKings, there were the attendance of Dr. Nguyen Hoang Anh – Vice chairwoman of Vietnam Records Organization (VietKings), Director of Richs Institute, Mrs. Vo Luu Lan Uyen – Deputy General Secretary of Vietnam Records Organization (VietKings) and members of the Record Appraisal Committee.

After the procedure of checking dossiers as well as direct appraisal, the Vietnam Records Organization (VietKings) Appraisal Committee officially recorded that 1,000 Khan ran were washed by 100 people, that is qualified to set a Vietnam record. Therefore, Vietnam Records Organization (VietKings) awarded a Vietnam Record Certificate with the content “The largest event of washing Khăn rằn simultaneously in Vietnam with OMO washing powder” to OMO Detergent Brand – Unilever Vietnam International Company Limited.
