The District 7 Vegetarian Food Festival 2023 was organized and conducted by the People’s Committee of District 7 in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Food And Beverage Association (FBA) from August 25 to August 27, 2023, in Crescent Lake Park, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. This was a cultural event that aimed to introduce people to green and clean plant-based foods, as well as bridging the gap from farm to table and creating a playground for Vietnamese chefs.

Themed “Delicious and Healthy”, the festival allowed visitors to access green and clean plant-based foods

The highlight of this year’s festival was the vegetarian buffet with more than 100 vegetarian dishes cooked by 150 chefs who are members of the Ho Chi Minh City Chefs Association. The chefs started preparing and processing the materials for vegetarian dishes at 20 different restaurant sites throughout the city early on August 26. Later that afternoon, the chefs convened at the vegetarian buffet to display the dishes and serve the diners.

Processed and presented by professional chefs, the dishes with plant-based ingredients are visually appealing

Following the direct appraisal process at the event, the Vietnam Records Organization (VietKings) officially presented the Record, titled: “Vegetarian buffet with the largest number of chefs involved in preparation in Vietnam” to the Ho Chi Minh City Food And Beverage Association.
