On the afternoon of August 10, 2023, the Representative of Vietnam Records Organization (VietKings) officially announced and awarded two new Vietnamese Records Certificates to Vietnam International Commercial Joint Stock Bank (VIB).
These are two consecutive new VIB’s records set in April and June 2023, after two earlier Vietnamese records: The first bank in Vietnam to incorporate augmented reality (AR) on digital banking application MyVIB 2.0 and MyVIB 2.0 – The first Mobile Banking Cloud Native application in Vietnam.

The two new records set in 2023 consolidate VIB’s pioneering position in digital technology
VIB CHECKOUT: The first mobile banking application to integrate SoftPOS on digital banking in Vietnam
VIB Checkout application features mobile banking, financial management, and transaction execution according to user needs. This is the first mobile banking application in Vietnam that integrates Soft POS technology developed by the VIB, for micro businesses, business households, and business individuals.
With this application, the smartphone will serve as a POS machine with mobility as well as a financial management platform, performing all financial transactions on demand as a full payment solution.
VIB Super Card: The first credit card in Vietnam that allows customers to modify four card elements, including cashback or rewards features, card number and image printed on the card, statement date, and minimum payment amount.
VIB cooperated with American Express to launch its first white card named Super Card with 15% cashback and give card users full rights to customize their card features. The Super Cards sold out in the very first month of launch with nearly 3,000 cards issued. This is the fastest record ever of VIB.
