Nestled in the wild natural scenery of Le Thuy district, Quang Binh Province, the Bang River is a natural hot spring that contains abundant presence of valuable and indispensable trace elements. The hot spring is widely recognized and esteemed by numerous scientists due to its therapeutic and rehabilitative effects on human health. According to a survey of Bang hot spring in Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province conducted by the Ministry of Water Resources in 1993, the highest temperature recorded at a geyser of the hot spring is 105 degrees Celsius.

The higher visitors ascend towards the upstream of Bang River, the higher temperature is. As the tourist proceeds downstream, they will encounter a designated area for bathing. This is the intersection of cold water stream (the cold Bang flow) and hot water stream (the hot Bang flow). The temperature inside this area ranges between 40 and 45 degrees Celsius, rendering it an ideal environment for immersion and relaxation.

On August 14th, 2023, within the framework of the launch ceremony of the Bang hot spring resort and rehabilitation called “Bang Onsen Spa & Resort”, the Vietnam Records Organization (VietKings) officially announced and awarded the national record to Truong Thinh Group Joint Stock Company, the Bang River investor and management, with the content “Bang River – The hot spring has the highest boiling temperature in Vietnam.”

The construction of the Bang Onsen Spa & Resort, a hot spring resort and rehabilitation facility, was initiated by the company in 2008. This development is located in Le Thuy district of Quang Binh province. The company has collaborated with a team of design consultants that had extensive expertise in constructing Onsen resorts in Japan. This partnership aims to develop a world-class eco-resort while taking full advantage of the hot spring resources and spectacular natural scenery of Bang River.
