Viking Link is a 765 km high-voltage direct current (HVDC) submarine power cable between the United Kingdom and Denmark. It is currently completed and expected to fully operate at the end of 2023.

The cable connects the Bicker Fen substation in Lincolnshire, England, to the Revsing substation in southern Jutland, Denmark. It has a capacity of 1,400 megawatts (MW), which is enough to power over 1 million homes.

Viking Link is developed by Energinet and National Grid. It is part of a wider effort to improve the interconnection between the European electricity networks. The cable will help to ensure that the UK and Denmark have access to a more secure and sustainable supply of electricity.

Viking Link is a major infrastructure project that will have a significant impact on the European electricity market. It is expected to boost trade between the UK and Denmark and help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
